Magic the gathering-all you need to know about it
If you are new to magic the gathering, you first need to understand the basics of the game. Just like any other game, basics are what make you able to understand how to play the game.
In magic the gathering, player will represent wizards which are powerful battling with range of very powerful spells. The players will begin with 20lives each. When you win, it means that the opponents' totals drop to zero or when your opponent can't draw any other card.
Starting the game
For you to start the game, both of you needs at least sixty cards, a large flat are preferably a table where you'll lay the cards. Each of the players must know how to keep the scores. Of you are more than two, you can use a pen or dice to record the scores.
The game will start by the cards being shuffled. Each of the players will then draw an opening hand of 7 cards from his deck. The rest of the decks become place where you will draw pile, aka library. Near this library is a graveyard, also known as the discard pile. Which you play will move to the territory, or else half of the surface where you are playing. A small number of your cards can move to your opponent instead.
By random means, determine who will get the choice. If you are lucky to get the choice, you either choose to draw first or to ply first, this is according to you. If you ply first, you take first turn of the magic the gathering game. This will mean you will not draw the card. But if you drawl first, you get second turn of game and you thus have an opportunity of drawing a card.
The cards
Cards in magic the gathering are divided into two types;
Spells
Lands
These cards provide mana, or a magical energy for the spells. You have the option of laying out a land a turn and use it as soon as in the play. To get mana from the land, as the land by turning it's ideas, that's where the magic the gathering becomes more interesting. The land is classified into 5 parts each of them producing a different color.
The color chart
Blue magic: mental energy is what thrives the blue magic, and utilizes elemental forces of water and air. The tradition foils are green and red.
Black magic: this will thrive on death and decaying, with the traditional foils being green and white.
Green magic: it will find life from forest. It can either bring destruction or peace. It's traditional foils being black and blue.
Red magic: these are the magic of fire and the earth. Magicians of the red will specialize in violence of combat and chaos, with the foils being white and blue.
Understanding this game only needs you to understand the basics, and you will enjoy what magic the gathering offers in the world of games.
