The great blue hole, Belize – a large underwater sinkhole off the coast, the great blue home has formed over several episodes of quaternary glaciations, and is thought to originally have been a cave. It's a really popular diving site due to the amount of unusual fish and other wildlife that call it home.

Hells gate, Uzbekistan – near the town of Darva, it was discovered forty years ago when people were drilling for gas. Poisonous gases were released, so someone set it on fire to stop it poisoning, and it has been burning ever since.
